Topanga

Since 1961 the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest is Southern California's favorite Old Time, Bluegrass, Folk Song, Dancing, and Crafts Festival. It is held on the 3rd Sunday in May at the Paramount Ranch -- near Agoura Hills -- in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

The California Traditional Music Society in 2007 is celebrating 25 years of bringing traditional music to Southern California. CTMS has a bluegrass stage at the Taste of Folk Music, which is produced by BASC and is held in October of every year.
